Well it was a victory for the Men this morning in their Middlesex League Match v Paddington.
Well done to Graham Dale on his first club match – a very creditable performance, alongside Ian D, Archie D and skip Gym. If only Ann had been allowed to play, it would have made a whole team of Dales! Although they were behind at 7 ends, Gym’s boys came through to win by 5 shots at home.
In a similar fashion, Laurence’s Lads – Reliable Reg, Gorgeous George and Gracious Graham K – were slow to get off the mark but the tea and sausage rolls seemed to do the trick and they had a 12 shot win by the end. (The trick being letting the opposition eat the sausage rolls and muffins to slow them down!)
Capt Martin P, took his team of Dave P, Peter T and Gary away and secured a hefty win. The whole team must have played well as they scored 35 to Paddington’s 11. It was harder work for Dave B, Pete N, Stormin’ Norman and Billy B who got off to a very slow start on the away rink but clawed their way to lose by only 5 shots after 21 ends.
No wrong biases at CP. Any away?
Well done lads. That was a good win!
