Sunday 8th May – Mixed v Sunbury – Home at 2.30 pm

What a scorcher!  We managed to pick the hottest day of the year to take on nearly-local rivals, Sunbury.  It was a good match and apart from rink 4 (don’t ask George about it!), the other rinks played beautifully.  Terry had turned the green so it was obviously a bit heavier but it will improve as the season continues and the whole green is used, not just the rinks nearest the clubhouse.

It was a 3-1 rink win for Cambridge Park.  Those of us on George’s team tried very hard and nearly caught up but we were outplayed.  That’s the way the cookie crumbles, as they say.

Brenda S with her able assistant Dave made some delicious sandwiches which were enjoyed by all.  Thank you.
