Transition from Outdoor to Indoor Bowls

The nights are drawing in and there are just a few outdoor matches and leagues left.   Actually it’s pretty wet and chilly.  What’s happened to our ‘normal’ Indian Summer?!

Thinking ahead to indoors, if any outdoor bowlers want to move indoors please let us know.  If anybody knows anyone who would like to have a try at bowls, we are holding Open Evenings on 18th, 19th & 20th October.  Flyers should be available from the Club later in the week if you could hand out or leave in a good place for them to be seen.

The last outdoor fixture is the Ladies v Gents on Saturday 23rd September with presentation of club trophies afterwards.  Check out the noticeboard.

On Sunday 24th September, feel free to have a roll up indoors.  There won’t be anything organised (unless my work trip is changed).  Sign up sheets for the Mixed Drive on Saturday 30th September and Men v Ladies on Sunday 1st October are up on the board.

If you’re planning to go down and have a roll up indoors one evening, be sure to let Jane know so the club won’t be locked before you get there.  We’ll be down this Wednesday evening from 6.00 pm – 8.00 pm with some new members if anyone wants to come down knowing that there will be someone at the club.
