Firstly Happy New Year!  Hope 2026 aes you stay warm, healthy and with more stunning bowls than the other sort!

Last night Steve G, Kevin K, Andy H & Peter Twells took on an Egham Four in the London & Southern Counties Single Rink competition.
Our lads shot off from the Starting block with great speed and were 6+ shots ahead. They kept Egham from entering the lead until the final few ends. They were 11-15 down with 3 ends to go. They picked up a single on a measure. Steve manages to kill two ends giving the team another attempt at crossing the 18th end first. They were 12-15 down but holding the 3 to force an extra end. Mark S played  the best shot a skip could for under pressure and held 3rd bowl. Steve took his time on the mat and played a brilliant yard-on shot removing Mark’s bowl from the rink as well as his own bowl. Mark held his nerve and put his final bowl into third and our chaps went out 14-15. Great game!

Today, Kevin and Peter T were back in action at CP in the mixed friendly v Teddington.
It finished 2-1 to CP with Andy K, Gym B & Tony O’B taking the top rink spot. Well done to Jonathan H playing for his outdoor Club and taking their top rink spot

Leagues start again on Monday and we have another mixed friendly v Masonians next Saturday afternoon and another v Chertsey on Sunday afternoon
