Brilliant effort by Tina, Nadine, Cathy & Ann who came from behind I their first Fours match v Cambridgeshire to win 15-14. They had a break then faced Bedfordshire in the second round. It was yet another tight game with Beds’ no.3 coming in for shot with her final bowl. Despite her best try, Ann was unable to dislodge the bowl with several Bowls blocking the line in and the team went down by 1 shot.
It was bloomin’ cold yesterday in the wind yesterday. Last week, players were sweltering in 30c temperatures and applying multiple layers of Factor 50.
Oh, the British summer and bowls – gives us something else to talk about !
