Well Middlesex won by a good clear margin. 4 winning , 1 losing and 1 drawn rink. Next match in 21st June away v Kent

Many thanks to Karen who bought all the food and had a good hand in the preparation with Marie working like a Trojan all afternoon with Ann H and Jacqui mucking in when they weren’t on keeping track of rink scores every 5 ends!

Thanks to Alasdair who manned the bar all day joined post match to hydrate the hordes!

Thanks as well to Tony and Brian who set up the green for us  and to Ron and Paul who were the official umpires.

There was about 10 mins of sunshine and 2 hours of solid downpour  – we were soaked. Bowlers are tough cookies!

It’s really brilliant to get a win in the first of our three round robin matches!

Within the playing Middlesex team , we have Tina, Karen, Cathy, Nadine and Dawn, Ann B with Jacqui on the subs bench. It was Karen’s debut appearance and she was in a winning rink  Nadine, Tina along with Tonia (Brentham) and Liz from Grovelands took top rink with a very convincing win
