Emails and Carols

Whilst the hunt is on for those mischievous reindeers, I wanted to say thank you for all the emails that have been received.

The Club has stayed open for play as much as possible, thanks to the drive of the Board directed by Ange’s healthcare professionalism with preparing and submitting the Risk Assessments with great attention to detail.  With the additional support of Jacquie E in her H&S capacity, Cambridge Park has managed a lot more play than other clubs.  We have been very lucky indeed.  Big thanks to all the members – it wouldn’t be worth it without you!

Ray V is doing a great job on the Centenary Outdoor Fixture List.  Ray and Ranjani are great jazz enthusiasts and he recommended listening to Eden Atwood singing Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let it Snow.  You can find this on YouTube (ignore the ads!).  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNzrYtjvNZg

Jamie Cullum’s new album – The Pianoman at Christmas – has some great tracks – more smooth jazz than trad.

If jazz isn’t your thing, try Alison Krauss and Yo Yo Ma performing The Wexford Carol.  It’s a wonderful pure sound.

If you need a further uplift, try this on (also YouTube)  Sarah Kennedy Dawn Patrol Christmas Song.  I wonder where the little chorister is now?

What are your favourite carols/Christmas songs, or are you like Prue Leither and Sam Smith who don’t like Christmas songs at all?!
