It was a win for both friendlies.
At ‘tea time’ v Ladygate yesterday, we were down on all four rinks but as “everything changes after tea” , we managed an over all victory with Steve & Kevin’s team securing wins and Brian @ Dawn’s rinks only losing by 2 & 1 respectively.
Thanks to John Q for manning the bar all afternoon
There was a win on all 4 rinks today v West Ealing. (They usually get their revenge on the outdoor annual match!)
Thanks to everyone who played, to Cameron, H, Skye ans Alistair who’s came down and all who contributed to the £82:16 raised for Pancreatic Cancer.
More than half of those diagnosed with that cancer lose their life within 3 months so every donation towards finding a cure or treatment that will give the victims more months or years is vital.
Duncan was at Stage 4 when he was diagnosed at the beginning of March last year. He had just over 4 months with the chemo being able to go out with his friends for meals, cricket etc and also playing a lot of bowls for West Ealing and Middlesex outdoors until the cancer delivered 3 strokes.
He was strong, tough and brave but the love, kindness, support and visits from all of you meant so much to him as well as his family – Dawn, Alistair & Ali, Cameron, H & Skye – “Team Slaughter “.
Thank you everyone.
