Is it a Quiet Week?

Seems pretty quiet on the bowls front apart from leagues and roll ups.
Maybe everything is focussed on the Big Ho Ho Ho Monday?

You’ll be pleased to know that today is the shortest day in relation to daylight hours and from tomorrow we shall getting more light. Oh, hooray!  Dark days can be very depressing. One can only do hot chocolate and all day movies/daytime television for so long!

Last Saturday in the National Triples, Teresa, Jacqui & Tina gained a win over Di, Dawn & Ann H in a nail biter of a match. After 18 ends, it was 19-19 and an extra end played. At 1 down, Ann played just over weight and caught the jack, but instead of it moving a yard to her team’s bowls, it headed off sideways. Dead end.
Jacqui played a corker drawing the bowl and, alas, the rest of us just couldn’t get quite passed the shorter bowls to get closer nor was a firing shot an option so T, T & J won by 1!

On Saturday morning, Tina and Teresa are joined with Tricia & Dawn to play in the National Fours against Pauline C & her Christmas Angels from Egham.
Match is at Cambridge Park and starts at 10:30. If anyone has had enough Christmas shopping, you’ll be very welcome to come along and support. The Egham four are tough …. but so are we!
