At least my laptop is playing ball this morning.  Yesterday, it wasn’t interested!

A clsoe semi-final for our ladies in the Double Rink competition but alas, it was a joint bronze medal.  Ann, Cathy, Marie & Ange lost by a mere 4 shots after 21 ends, whilst Jean, Sarah, Lucy & Dawn somewhow scraped a 19-18 win. Grovelands went on to play North London in the Final and after the day’s 46 ends, North London’s girls came out victorious.  Well done.

Thanks to Audrey, Corale, Kevin & Laurie for coming over to watch.  Sorry we couldn’t quite make it to the final this time.

At the club in the afternoon, Match Captain Ray reported a 31-32 loss v Hurlingham Club.  Aargh.  So close!

Today’s action sees

10.00 am – Ange in the semi final of the Middlesex Over 55s Singles at Ashford

10.00 am – Kevin, Gym, Sarah & Dawn in the MIddlesex Area Final of the National Mixed Fours at Bounds Green

2.30 pm – South MIddlesex League v Fordbridge Park at Cambridge Park.   Hope we get a better rub-of-the-green today than we did yesterday!
