The club will be open on Monday for usual morning roll up and after.
Bar will depend on a volunteer being around.

Karen and Dawn will be playing semi final of South Middlesex Aussie Pairs at Bishop Duppas so won’t be on bar duty!  Good luck to them.

Continuing their (probably) best season ever, Karen & Jacqui are through to the South Middlesex Ladies Pairs Final which is on Sunday 15th September at Bishop Duppas. Tim to be advised.

Karen & Jacqui face each other in the Cambridge Park Ladies Final which will hopefully be on Saturday 14th.

Weather forecast is reasonable I.e. dryer than today albeit chilly tomorrow and Ann & Cathy start their Ladies Pairs at Leamington at 9:15 am

Dave P, Peter J and Gary made their Triples debut at Nationals in Leamington yesterday.
I was sorry not to be there as from Tony W’s report below you can see it was a really close game right down to the wire.
You can be very proud of your achievement chaps.

Well done to Steve G and Peter J in their R&B Pairs semi final took when they an 18-17 victory v a Mid Surrey pair, despite trying to give it away by dropping a 5 on the final end!  Nail biting  stuff. Well done, chaps!

Final is at Putney Town on 1st September. Time to be advised.

Dave had a comfortable win this morning but a difficult match this afternoon (due to gusty winds playing mischief with bowls on a tricky rink, he went down by 5 shots. It was nip and tuck all the way u til the last couple of ends when Dave just missed the line and his opponent didn’t. C’est la vie.
Still Dave gets another chance on Tuesday morning in the Senior Pairs with partner Attilio from Uxbridge.
Maybe the wind will have died down by then.

Margaret’s Hanging Baskets are looking absolutely beautiful at the moment. We’d like to have hanging baskets every year so please do buy some raffle tickets from the club in order to raise funds to pay for next year’s creations.

Margaret is also producing more of your favourite marmalades and jams which you can also purchase at the club.
