After my exciting trip of reaching the last 16 of the Two Bowls competition, it is time to hand over the West London baton to Dave Pitt, Andy Knott, Ray Snelling and Colin Harman in the Over 60’s Fours in Nottingham.
Their first match is at 09:30 this morning and you can watch the live scoring via the EIBA competition page on their website.
the green is slower and longer than either CP or Hounslow. The bowl finishes but slowly so whatever your brain tells your arm to do normally do, you have to persuade it to add an extra yard.
I watched yesterday morning’s games and even some of the top ranked players found the weight difficult. Just goes to show they are human too!
Well done to Chelsea Tomlin who came from behind to take a win over Nicole Rogers in the Ladies Two Woods, and to Jamie Walker who beat Martin Puckett in the Men’s Two Bowls Final.
Good luck Dave, Andy, Colin & Ray!
Good Luck to the boys but WELL DONE Dawn for getting into the last sixteen!
Great achievement and a great honour for the Club!
Ange (ps: it’s a little cold here having been away in the sunshine??!)
Very close score Dawn. You should be proud. Well done. Always next year. Onwards and upwards!
