Hard luck to Jean & Norman who lost in their National Mixed Pairs Area semi-final yesterday.  Winners were Rob H & Anna M from Ashford.  They play the winners of Paul C (West Ealing) & Dawn v Paul & Elaine from Hurlingham Park.  That match is at HP on Friday evening.

Congratulations to Steve G, Norman, Gordon & Laurence in the Senior Fours last night v Robin I’s team from West Ealing.  They forego watching the England game to get their comp in and won 15-14.  Talk about cutting it fine!   They are now in the Semi-Final which is being played on Sunday morning 10.30 am (website states 10.30 pm – eek!) at Hendon.  I think it may be quite a while since the CP men have reached a County Semi-Final.  Well done chaps!  They play the winners of R Militon & J Crabb.  I’m afraid I don’t know where either chaps are from.

Another Senior Fours quarter final last night was Dave P v Paul C (West Ealing).  No results through yet.

Today sees the Ladies Senior Fours in action.  Nadine & team are off to Sunbury (not Ashford, sorry to wake you up, Ange!), whilst Jean’s old girls are off to Bush Hill Park.  With so few entries (are the other bowlers too young?), winners of these games are through to the Semi-Finals at Hayes on Sunday, which could be a busy day for Jean and Nadine!  Good luck girls!
